Downtown

1988 – three gay young men throw themselves wholeheartedly into Amsterdam’s nightlife; a life of friendship, sex and drugs. 33 years later, the three estranged friends Bas (56), Lennart (57) and Ronnie (60) look back at the time that was burgeoning for them, when almost anything was possible and their friendship arose, but also the time when the AIDS epidemic started.

While the past intrudes on the present, they try to revive their friendship.
